The large heru are made from 4.5mm thick acrylic. The come in 6 colour variations which are slightly different from the small heru.The wheku is a contemporary representation of an ancestor of your choosing. When placed on the back of the head, I liken him to be 'watching your back'.
I recommend this item be worn as a decorative piece. First tie your hair in a ponytail or bun, then place the heru in through the front of the tided section of hair, closest to your head.
